About Me

Diyaluma Falls-5

You probably ended up here because just like me, you have an insatiable thirst for trotting the globe, or are just curious about travel.

I hope you join me on my adventures of conquering the globe!

I’m so glad you’re here at The Atlas Edit! My name is Stephanie and I’m the girl behind The Atlas Edit.

about me page

So, who am I?

I’m a 30-something Malaysian, who has lived in Australia for 5 years, worked in Singapore for 4 years, and am currently based in Canada! I’ve been fortunate enough to have seen quite a bit of our amazing little planet.

I started traveling before I could even remember. My family was huge on traveling and would take family trips annually, of which I have little to no memory, especially during my younger days 🙁 I have the memory of a goldfish (though recent studies have found that goldfish actually have a pretty good memory, so…).

Now, I’ve taken that wanderlust dust from my parents and made it my own. I’ve been to over 45 countries and I’ve only seen 12% of the world! It still amazes me how immensely huge our planet is, and I am working my way through it!

I…

…was born and bred in a southern town of Malaysia called Johor Bahru (right next to Singapore!).

…took a leap of faith and decided to uproot myself and start a new life in Vancouver, Canada at the age of 34!

…lived abroad in Perth, Western Australia for 5 years where I discovered my fear of spiders, and love for grocery shopping

…take great pleasure in binge-watching trashy reality TV (Real Housewives, anyone?)

…am borderline obsessed with the TV show, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Throw me a F.R.I.E.N.D.S reference and I’ll love you forever!

…looooove animals, and would like to own a farm one day.

…have a toy poodle named Albus Dumbledore who makes it so hard for me to leave home. We call him Lumpy.

How can this blog help you?

I love planning my travels and find that it’s half the fun! So I create very detailed itineraries and can spend hours on end stressing and searching for the best of the best in each city I visit.

Besides the standard itineraries you’ll find elsewhere, I like to include a little bit of my own interests in my travels which are: coffee and pop culture. So you’ll often see me checking out the local coffee scene and filming locations in each city I visit!

So if you share these interests, follow along for these extra tidbits in my travel guides!

Here on The Atlas Edit, I’d like to share with you, all the hard work of research I’ve poured into my travels so that you can have fantabulous, unforgettable adventures of your own!

Stick with me and let’s cover this globe together. I can’t wait to fill you in all the adventures I’ve been up to so you can have some of your own. Have any questions or feedback? Drop me a hello at hello@theatlasedit.com! xx

And since you’ve read all the way down here… how about subscribing to my newsletter?

You’ll get the latest travel hacks and inspiration, PLUS, you’ll be the first to know about my freebies and giveaways. And as always, I promise no spam. Cause who likes that sh*t?
